Man shot and killed near Universal theme park: report

Orlando Police are investigating a scene where a man was shot and killed late Sunday night in Orlando’s tourist district, near Universal Orlando Resort, according to a report by WKMG.

The incident took place just after 10 p.m. Sunday outside a 7-Eleven convenience store at the intersection of Vineland and Kirkman roads, according to OPD.

WKMG reporters spoke with a woman who claimed her boyfriend was shot in the head while entering the store.

The couple was visiting a family member’s house and were on their way back to their Davenport home, WKMG reported.

OPD has released no additional information on the scene at this time.
