Pair arrested in shooting at Orange County 7-Eleven that injured 2
Orange County sheriff’s detectives arrested two men in a shooting at a 7-Eleven on Monday night, according to an affidavit.
Briderris Clarke, 18 and Jamel Rucker, 45, are facing attempted first-degree murder with a firearm charges.
Deputies were called just before midnight to the 7-Eleven at 3974 S. Orange Blossom Trail for the shooting. Two victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses say Clarke got out of a car, ran toward a group of people standing at the pump and fired several shots, the affidavit said.
Clarke and Rucker “celebrated” in the car as they drove away, according to the affidavit. The two were arrested Wednesday at a Holiday Inn on East Colonial Drive and Rucker had the gun deputies believe was used in the shooting on his hip, the affidavit said.
The two men are being held at the Orange County Jail without bond.
